Mixed-Media

In creating mixed media art, I use heavy watercolor paper, commercial paper board or canvas as the background for my work. My surface design consists of an abundance of creativity in using things like gesso, carved wood, a variety of founded objects with soft and heavy tufted, beaded, or bristled textures, vegetative substances, fabrics, hand drawing, and the use of various paints. These surfaces and textures engage your sense of touch and provide inspiration and a sense of empowerment.
