How I Became an Artist
My interest in art began in my childhood. As I watched my mother sew. I would collect the scraps to make doll clothes and other household items. The fabrics allowed me to develop a keen sense of texture, pattern and color. My fiber work today still reflects these attributes.
In later years I experimented and enjoyed painting in watercolor and acrylics. With my love for these forms and more, I see myself as a mixed media artist.
My artwork has been exhibited in museums, galleries and and other diverse locations; locally nationally and abroad. Conducting art workshops for youth and senior adults has been inspirational, fun and rewarding. In addition, I support art organizations in my community
